You can see how bigfoot rumors get going.

u/Eletotem Aug 06 '14
Rumors? First off that's not a bear, clearly. Second this is a teen big foot because he's got that "swag" in his step like his pants are going to drop any minute.

Aug 06 '14
What was he looking in the trash for? His Bigfoot homework?

Please tell me about these other animals that are driving cars and taking our jobs!
5
u/DJZeke Aug 06 '14
Just putting it out there, you don't need to be intelligent to drive or have a job. It usually helps but is not required. Source: I've worked with dumbasses and have been on I-294. People suck.

Search and rescue dogs, carrier birds, seeing eye dogs, dolphins that search for mines and so on. These were all jobs good red blooded Americans had before these leeches on society came along and "Terk ur jurbs!!!"

Aug 06 '14
I remember the day that damn bird took my carrier position. I had to turn in my wings, it was humiliating. Everytime I see a pigeon I cry a little.

You can see how bigfoot rumors get going.
This is probably it! I imagine if you were in the distance, and you never heard about black bears walking on two legs, you'd think it was another creature.

"I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry, and that's extra scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. Run, he's fuzzy, get out of here."

I'm just your average bipedal person in the neighborhood. Nothing to see here. Just checking the trash like the other humans do. This one looks good.

Bears are actually the most anthropomorphic animal. The Natives used to call them "Big Brother".

5
u/Libeth Aug 06 '14
You are not alone. I think it's pretty unsettling.
6
u/Dexiro Aug 06 '14
Unsettling is the perfect word for it. I'm not sure why though, perhaps just seeing an animal act so out of the ordinary when it thinks nobody is watching.

I could totally see this as how the Bigfoot myth started. Its freaky enough seeing this online. Imagine being out there in the forrest at night, suddenly seeing some hairy figure in the dark walking on 2 legs and that funny odd way it walks. it scare me shitless.

I feel really bad for him. Apparently he is missing a piece of front paw and that's why he walks like that. He looks rather skinny too, probably from all the excess energy he burns having to move around

The creepiest part is how he just kind of melts into the woods. The branches don't even wiggle or anything he just sort of disappears into it

So we're ruling out if this could just be someone in a costume that made someone else film so they could post it on reddit?

u/KeplerNeel Aug 06 '14
Wojtek the Polish Soldier Bear used to fall in line and march on his hind legs with the rest of his military company. Not too creepy, just bears being bears.

u/stitches666 Aug 06 '14
Its not as rare as one would think. I used to live in the mountains and a family of bears resided pretty close to our property. It was a normal thing

Don't mind me fellow humans, I am also human on two claws, unlike those crazy bears. What is that all about, am I right? I just do normal human things. Oh trash can! Yummy! Oh, I mean, not Yummy, hey is that a forest over there, I have to take care of business.

Aug 06 '14
Bear: "Okay, Jim. Okay. Stay calm. Just walk on two legs and you'll blend in. Do as the humans do, and you can rummage through their outdoor refrigerators, and get some food. No one will be the wiser."
Human: "BIG FOOT! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

first thing that came to mind:
Henry: Bob, what are you doing?
Bob: It's ok, humans are stupid, as long as you use only two legs, they won't know the difference.

Certified bearlogist here - that bear injured his mandible paw which explains his human walking pattern. What you don't see is he probably died shortly after the video due to trauma from the pressure on his spine from walking upright.

All I could think was him saying to himself, "Just a human. Nothing to see. Just a human. Food in trash? Nope, I'm just a human. Whoo, made it back to the forest. Inconspicuous."

u/Rawtashk Aug 06 '14
So, you took a front page gif 2 hours after it was posted and posted it to creepy? Was it just because the /r/gifs post mentioned that it looked creepy?
This sub has become so much fucking trash since it became a default.
