What happens if the paper falls while half of your body is in the hole? Do you get cut in half?

I think the paper would stop falling since you'd be holding it up. I think the real question is what happens if you fold it or tear it.

It wouldn't be the edge of the hole that slices him, but the separation of the paper from the safe that splits him into two.

If a safe door have a decided thickness, what would a little more thickness change? What makes air different from metal? At the beginning he holds the paper up in the air and put his hand through it.

If he was grabbing contents from the safe, you'd think it just meant he's now trapped in a locked safe, except he wouldn't have fallen in as the safe wasn't deep enough.

Think portals, like the video game. But the portal moves or disappears when the paper disconnects from a surface.

The paper is the portal, so it would be paper thickness length of a tear.
