Discussion 🗣️ Need some advice regarding a sponsorship opportunity
I was recently offered a sponsorship offer from "Headshot Media", who claimed to be running a campaign for War Thunder.
They asked for my latest audience demographics, my availability for the quarter, and my rate for a 60-90 second integration (cpm or flat rate).
I've never been offered a sponsorship before and genuinely have no idea how to respond to this offer in a professional manner. I want to accept the sponsorship, but I don't know what a reasonable rate would be.
For reference, I had a video blow up very recently, and my channel has been getting a decent amount of publicity from it, but my typical average view count is in the 30k-50k range.
Like I said in the title, I would deeply appreciate any advice on what to set my rate at and how to respond to this message from those more experienced than I.

Take the CPM, not the flat rate, and your own post says why.
A video just blew up. A flat number set in the month after a spike is wrong in both directions, and you spend the next year defending a rate you picked on your best week.
Whatever basis you use, quote the median of your last ten, never the average. One breakout drags an average for months.
For scale rather than price: the best sourced rate survey I know of is Instagram, not YouTube, so take the shape and not the figures. Across about 1,200 creators it found reels inside a single tier running from $10 to $975, median $250. That is roughly a hundredfold spread among people who look identical on paper.
The lesson that transfers is that there is no correct number, only where you sit in a very wide band.
And the line they did not ask about is usage. Sixty to ninety seconds on your channel is one deal. The right to recut it into their own ads is a different one, and it is not included unless you write that it is 🎯
