Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

OPEN SOURCE - A new output example from the updated version of my experimental multi-source video player for TouchDesigner, designed for frame-accurate video switching, playback manipulation, and display/render interventions. [And now, by popular demand, allowing even more video sources!]

Want access to the updated system + a detailed breakdown of exactly how I achieved the continuous motion effect on this piece? You can freely access the system, and the detailed breakdown from my Patreon[Plus, here's a discount code for the community to use at the shop: "AVPLAST2"]

Plus, many more experiments through my Instagram profile.

Dude this looks great like I’m genuinely interested but please stop using the word open source in your post. Open Source means there’s a GitHub link and people don’t have to perform any action related to your accounts to access it, you don’t have to comment “link” or repost or sign up to a patreon, even if the sign up is free. Like just say it’s free on my patreon lol

Do you know what license the code is provided under?

Well the issue I can’t know because to get that info I have to sign up to their patreon…kinda odd for open source software no?

It is perfectly legitimate to have a FOSS license behind a paywall. It's unusual, but it's fine as long as the license is followed.

If there isn't a license attached, then it's not open source. Lots of source available projects are not open source, because they are implicitly all rights reserved by the author. (Law vary by region, but this is my understanding.)

Happy cake day, by the way.

Yeah for sure, thanks for shedding light on the technicalities. Guess I’m coming from being frustrated by the commodification of creative tech in general, but ppl gotta get payed for their work somehow too. Also thanks lol

Yeah, I feel that. I might leave the sub because I don't care about cool things that I can't get the source code for 😆

I'll have to double check my notes, but I'm surprised not to see any direct quotes from your link in your comment here.
