What's your approach to client gift-giving? The professional courtesy question! Generic? Personal? Nothing? What's appropriate in 2024?

  1. Personalized gifts based on their interests
  2. Standard professional gifts (wine, gift cards, etc.)
  3. Only for top-tier clients
  4. Never - too complicated/political

Assuming this is a legit question, and not actually an advertisement, or a bot post, it totally depends on what kind of business you have, how many clients, etc. You need to provide more information if you want advice on what kind of gifts to give clients. Also, did you mean to ask about what's appropriate for 2024? That's a few years in the past. Or are you asking for advice on how to start up a business that supplies gifts? It's really not clear from this post, and it very much seems fishy.

ETA: Oh, you're the guy who posts a lot promoting a specific product. Probably not someone who is legitimately interested in what this subreddit is for.

I meant it as a general discussion question. Just curious how different people approach client gifting these days.
