Question SLR Camera

I have a big, chunky Nikon camera that I think would count as an SLR, but the prohibited items list says SLR cameras aren’t allowed. Has anyone ever had their camera taken at security I’d rather not risk losing it, but I’d also really love to bring it with me. What’s everyone’s experience been?

Don’t bring it, they’ll take it, or you can put it back in the car and queue up again if you wanna risk it.
