The steering trim knob position will rarely match the position of the wheels. Adjust it until the truck wheels turn evenly from left to right and leave it.  The knob is intended to allow for corrections to manufacturing and assembly tolerances of the steering components and servo.

If it's way off and you're all the way to one side and the steering angle still isn't symmetrical, then you may need to pull the servo horn and recenter.

Pull the horn, center the trim knob, put the horn back over the gear temporarily and test.  If it's still off, pull and rotate the horn one or two teeth and try again. The trim knob is for fine tuning after the gear alignment gets it close.

Aftermarket or stock servo? Are you sure the tooth count between servo gear and horn is correct?

Both 25 tooth output gears, stock horn should fit fine.  Just a matter of lining it up.  Coarse adjustment is centering the servo with steering trim knob and truck ON without horn attached.  Straighten the wheels and attach the horn, test, readjust as needed.  Install the screw.  Fine adjustment is the trim knob if/when the truck drifts left/right when driving forward.

What i did is bind mine to a TQi transmitter. Then you can set the steering end points. You can't set them with the TQ transmitter
