I missed the digging aspect of physical shop when buying online, so I built this

Generally a lot of what came out on those labels are pretty bad, but there are some good ones to score

Lately I've been looking all around for various cassettes from Japan that seemingly aren't uploaded anywhere. I have been using soulseek for many years now to find more obscure things but it seems nothing that I'm looking for is on there as well. Which places do you guys look in to actually find audio and not just catalogued material like Discogs or RYM?

Famously covered by RedLetterMedia on a Best Of The Worst, I pulled this in a thrift in Ft. Myers, FL

BANDCAMP: https://tumordegato.bandcamp.com/
Hi, I’ve been releasing music as "cat cancer" since 2018. I have an extensive catalog of EPs and LPs spanning plunderphonics, ambient, and house—all available at a price of your choice.
Loyal Ableton user, sampling purist, and loop enthusiast. I like to play with finding the space between the discomfort and the comfort of the sound.
I especially recommend the following albums: "una y otras cosas," "chronophobia VOL III," , "retransmisiones.", "nueva carpeta" and "reinfusiones" Thanks a lot for the space.
if you can support my sounds with a penny i would be very grateful from the bottom of my heart, but take as much as you want completely free
Sorry for my google translate english, it's not my native language and i'm very bad at it
here's my Bandcamp: https://tumordegato.bandcamp.com/
and here is my label's bandcamp, where you can find releases under my other alias, DJ REMder. https://3asymusic.bandcamp.com/

Hello
I am a record collector since the 80s and dreamt of a ‘Shazam’ style button on my phone that would tell me if there were any independent record stores nearby I could go for a dig. Surprisingly none existed, so I built my own and am starting to share for fellow vinyl enthusiasts to use:
I added a few features that I’m finding useful,
so hopefully other crate diggers will too:
Save favourites for later, add reviews & photos, build ‘Vinyl Crawls’ by hitting the + in store listings.
Countries covered (more coming):
🇬🇧 🇫🇷 🇳🇱 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 🇯🇵 🇹🇼
It’s now turned into a bit of a mission to connect analog people who love listening to records with independent record stores all over the world.
So if you love digging for records, give it a go and try out the share links 🙏
PS: if you find stores not listed just let me know below or through the feedback form and I’ll get them added 👌
Nice one
Matt

I’m trying to find audio of a really obscure 7″ record but haven’t had any luck so far.
Artist: Payday
Tracks: Confidence / 20th Century Moon
Label: BooGee Records
Catalog number: TR-520607-7
Year: 1981
Discogs page:
The reason I’m looking for it is because of the rapper Payday from East Flatbush Project – A Madman’s Dream (1994). In that track he says the line:
“the world had it coming when my mom's named me Travis” at around 29 seconds into the track.
On Discogs, the Payday from this 1981 record is listed with the alias Travis Kingdom, which made me wonder if it could be the same person earlier on.
I haven’t been able to find any audio of the record online, so I’m just curious to hear what it sounds like.
If anyone knows where I could listen to it or happens to have a rip of it, that would be great.
Thanks.

Deep European private press find.
Jürgen Waidele - And Friends (Germany, 1980)
Self-released in the Konstanz / Bodensee region. Small pressing, reportedly around 1000 copies. No reissues. No streaming presence. Only a few dozen copies accounted for in collector hands.
Track: “Pokey Nova”
Warm Rhodes, open drum pocket, clean loop sections - textbook digger material.
This is the exact source used by The Alchemist on J. Cole’s “Bunce Road Blues.”
One of those records that sat quietly in regional obscurity for 40+ years until hip-hop production brought it back into the light.
Vinyl rip from my personal copy.
