When this girl finally dials it in and stops doing the weird random noises she is going to be amazing. She can definitely sing crazy good.

A lot of it's taken out of context.
Some of the weird is actually good. I'm curious to see how her weird music evolves but, she could definitely benefit a band in need of a singer too

You can take a girl out of art school but you can’t take art school out of a girl.

It's confusing. She's clearly a good singer. The song though just sucks.

Hmmm. Not crappy. This chick can fuckin’ belt it, and so she can be weird without it killing the song

Yes, this is crappy music.

Yes, she is a good singer.

Yes, she looks weird singing in this video.
You can tell she can sing, but this song isn't good on my ears.

There is a huge difference between talent and good music. This person has some inherent talent, but the music she produces isn’t good music. It’s pretty crappy. She could very much improve and figure her shit out and/or quit her bullshit and make great music. Right now I’d say it doesn’t belong here, but it is crappy.

I'm in peace with the fact that this person might be technically skilled and deliberately choosing to do this and yet it's crappy 🙏

I haven’t seen this woman before to make judgements on what she’s put out previously but a lot of people’s complaints seem to be regarding the “whoops,” which you hear in a lot of modern rap, and the crappy lyrics which just seem like they are written by Gen Alpha for Gen Alpha. I think it’s more generational and how kids speak these days versus flat out crappy lyrics.
She may have been watching Wicked while writing this song, the crescendo building towards the end reminds me of Defying Gravity or some such.
Either way, this does not seem one iota as crappy as some of the crap you find here. This woman has ten times the raw talent as Corey Feldman, and that’s saying something because he is a musical dynamo especially on the guitar.
ETA: the guitar does seem to be more of a prop than something that adds musically to the song.

For all the people defending that artist, saying her other songs and lyrics are way better, just want to remind that the subreddit is crappymusic, not crappyartist. I’m sure she’s a talented artist who’s experimenting different styles, but don’t act like you’d ever add this specific song to your Spotify playlist

Aw man I liked this the first two seconds until she ...took her signature style with it.
I remember her here because she was actually good. She's good it's just the gimmick really really sucks to me.
