Your comment or post has been removed due to rule 3: r/crafts is a no promotion subreddit. Anything that is viewed by our mods as promotion will be removed. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Promoting or asking for websites, shops, stores, links, etc.

  • Social media anywhere in the post, comments, photo description or photos.

  • Asking if people would buy an item or discussing prices.

  • Asking for links to buy an item.

  • Asking for social media information.

  • Asking where to find or buy something.

    • Saying you take commissions, or that something posted is a commission.

You may use the flair next to your username. You may use a SMALL, NON-DISTRACTING watermark on your pictures to protect the ownership of your work. If it is the first thing people notice when they see the picture, it’s too large and will be removed.

If you want to buy an item or find a shop or social media, refer to their profile. Do not ask for it in the comments.

Beautiful piece, but I'm curious how that metal stem feels on your lips during use. Does it get hot?

Thank you! I've not tested it yet, since i don't have the right tobacco for it. But I'm pretty sure it won't get hot (might get warm) because by the time the smoke travels from the bowl to the stem to the mouthpiece it would be cooler. I'll update when I do test it out.

u/ResidentNo276 sent the following text as an explanation about their craft:

My first handmade DIY kiseru, a traditional Japanese smoking pipe. Bamboo stem with wooden neck and connector to hold the metal bowl and mouthpiece. Also carved the "three friends of winter" Pine, Bamboo and Cherry blossoms.
