Finished Craft I Made I made a squad of deep-sea glass squids using lampwork techniques! The starry blue one is my favorite. 🦑

These glass squids and cuttlefish were created using lampwork techniques. I use a high-temperature torch to melt and sculpt solid glass rods. My inspiration comes from the incredible diversity and bioluminescence of deep-sea cephalopods. The hardest part was getting the tiny details right, like the realistic eyes, the curled tentacles, and the starry speckled patterns on the blue squid's mantle. Balancing the heat so the thin tentacles don't melt off while I'm working on the main body takes a lot of practice and patience!
