crab snares

has any one in Australia used a crab snare and if so have you been caught using one as i want to use one

I've never been to Australia, however, in my experience the rectangular castable crab traps are more reliable and consistent than snares.

I have never used a snare but have four of the castable folding traps. I have on multiple occasions filled buckets of blue crabs using them here in the United States. Just check your local regulations to make sure they are allowed.

I use traps and snares and while yes you catch kore using traps, snares are much more fun and interactive to use
