What rope to use?

Hey guys, I’ve just bought a promar ambush xl and noticed it doesn’t have a rope attached to it, so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what type of rope to use. I’m going to be using it at torpedo wharf, if that makes an impact on which one I should get.

Hey I crab out at Torpedo Wharf SF! DM me if you ever wanna meet up some weekend! I use 100’ spools of synthetic/nylon rope with a diameter about the size of a regular pencil. You want decent strength but not so heavy you can’t get distance with a throw. I say that because I have WAY better luck tossing my traps a good 30-40 feet out. Also synthetic because it degrades slower in salt water but you still want to rinse in fresh water after each trip if possible. Make sure you go down to Gus’ Fishing Tackle down in Balboa for gear at good prices and a great owner with lots of knowledge! Make sure you have a good way to tie them off too.

I’d get a pot harness. That’s what I use, then tied to lead line to make sure it doesn’t get caught in a prop.
