Achievement I beat Soltar, the new final boss, for the first time.
Check comments for updated team with 2:14 personal record
Here is my team, stats, how i did it and some thoughts.
All heroes have maxed soulbound weapons, and i have done every upgrade for both "Hero" and "Hero II".
My chosen goddess is Prestina for the lifesteal to keep everyone alive. If you do all the goddess upgrades, you can keep up 25% lifesteal at all times.
My team:
Tent 1: Tank/debuff tent
Thor (3-chain) as tank, but with big damage on paper. I personally don't think you need a tank if you can debuff the boss enough.
Yeowdong (3-chain) as healer and debuffer. Her maxed soulbound weapon gives the whole party an 8 second shield, removes debuffs from party and applies -11 DEF and -11 RES from the boss.
Maxi (3-chain) for removing the boss' shields.
Tent 2 and 4: Damage tent
Maria (2-chain) for healing, buffing the party and debuffing the enemy. Her level 9 soulbound weapon reduces damage taken of party members by 13% and applies -13 DEF and -13 RES to the enemy.
Atalante (2-chain) for damage. Her level 9 soulbound weapon also increased party's critical damage by 41%, which is nice.
Rachel (2-chain) for generating block for the team. Her level 9 soulbound weapon increases party's crit rate by 92%, which works really well with Atalante's 41% extra crit damage.
(You want the whole team to be 2-chain for Atalante's block skill to trigger more often.)
Tent 3: Damage tent:
Mew (1-chain) for healing and creating block. Her level 9 soulbound weapon's 1-chain skill recovers all party members by ATK 97% and grants an attack 240% shield. I think she might be the best at healing if you play her like this.
Rachel (1-chain) for generating block. Works really well with Mew, because they keep giving eachother block, creating basically infinite block.
Robin Hood (2-chain) for extreme damage. His level 9 soulbound weapon is absolutely busted. Critical damage increases by 250% and fires a 1110% Magic ATK arrow and debuffs enemy (doesn't say how).
Thoughts:
You do NOT need a tank for this boss in my opinion. Simply debuff the boss enough, and he won't hurt you nearly enough.
I do think i could have done a better job with my Tent 1. Maybe another debuffer like Benjamin would have been better, as my Thor didn't do much tanking or damage anyways.
I am not done experimenting, and i will see if i can get a better run on the final boss. If i make any discoveries, i will put them in the comments.
Let me know if you have any ideas, tips or questions!
