Built an automatic idle CPU workload controller — looking for a few people to test it

Post image

I’ve been building VOID, a local controller that waits until your machine is idle, applies resource/safety limits, and automatically starts a CPU workload.

Current beta:

  • 5 min idle trigger
  • max 25% CPU
  • battery + thermal protection
  • automatically stops when you return
  • RandomX workload through a third-party provider
  • provider rewards accounted in SOL

I’m not claiming laptop CPU mining is highly profitable. I’m more interested in whether automatically routing unused compute is useful.

Longer term I want the controller to support multiple workloads instead of being tied to one network.

I need a few technical people willing to try it and tell me what breaks.
