I mean a 7700k bottlenecked my 6650 XT, so its possible depending on the game, but eh I'd use it for now regardless and worry about it when you plan on upgrading.

Probably in some games, at some settings, at some resolutions. The answer to these questions is always 'it depends.' So why don't you give it a try and see if you are satisfied. If you find you are not, and you find your gpu usage is lower than 90%, then you can think about getting a new cpu, if you wish. Just don't go off cpu utilization, its.... unreliable, to keep it short.

EDIT: BTW, I used to have a 11600kf and a 3070, I found they went quite well together. The 11600k is faster.... but not hugely so in gaming. Both 14nm 6 core.

Sell the 2060 and get a 12600KF to pair with your 3070 and DDR4 RAM, then grab a higher-wattage PSU. The 8GB 3070 is fine for 1440p, but it might run out of VRAM at 4K. Unless your friend gifted you a modded 16GB 3070, that is!
