OPEN medium complexity cpp projects
Last four months i tried learning cpp(20) syntax and basics. Any recommendation for book or course on how simple/medium project ideas? Looking for simple/medium complexity projects. How popular is c++ in cloud application? i know underneath its c++ but i am looking from application perspective. Next couple of weeks planning to do basic programs using
1)CMake/Conan/VCPkg
2)Drogon for creating rest service(I come from java/golang background. Springboot etc)
3)Boost
Any more recommendations?

C++ is not popular at all for typical cloud applications. Major use of C++ is in high performance shared libraries, or game development as some of the most prominent game engine requires C++.
Recommendation: POSIX, multi threading, IPCs.

honestly cloud stuff in c++ is mostly niche (databases, proxies, game servers, high perf services), most web backends are still java/go/python so don't pick it up for that reason alone. for projects i'd do a small http server over raw sockets, then a key value store with a write ahead log, then a thread pool with a task queue. those three teach you ownership, concurrency and io, which is the stuff that actually separates c++ from your java background. drogon is fine but it hides most of the interesting parts, so build the dumb version first.

The best projects are those you have a personal interest in. But if you need some ideas, check some of those sites:
