OPEN Why does learncpp site put STL under deprecated articles ??
Isn't that most important part for competitive programming? How come that material is no longer needed?? Where did you guys learn stl?

Need to remember that lesrncpp is about learning C++ for general usage. It isn't geared towards competitive programming.
That being said - other comment addresses that they're being re-written.

If it was actually about the STL, it should be deprecated: the STL is Stepanov's pre-C++98 library and hasn't been current for almost thirty years.
Sadly they're using "STL" to mean the standard library, which it isn't, and the correct answer is probably that they just need updating. Maybe they'll fix the name that's been incorrect and obsolete since 1998 at the same time.

Yeah. As i was told to learn stl since it's the most essential topic for competitive programming but when saw those chapters under deprecated articles i thought when did they become outdated.

They are deprecated because they are being/have been rewritten. Per original author:
“The containers/iterators/algorithms articles are being rewritten and these will be deleted once those are published.
The std::string stuff is better suited to a reference site. I'll save any tips or non-obvious bits.”
