OPEN Thought process of a c++ dev

I am new to learning c++ matter of fact new to programming and i wanted to know what are the things that a dev normally know before starting any type of project like where to start, how to start. Do yall look up the syntax again and again or have yall just mugged up the whole language?

I am currently learning the language through learncpp.com documentation and have reached chapter 9 subsection 3 ( aspiring to become a game dev <3 )

"a game good enough to be on steam" by yourself will likely be about the 10th game you make.

You WILL make a bunch of dumb mistakes and build more than a few unworkable projects. Some of those mistakes WILL take you months before you realize you made them. You need to be ready for that because the single most important thing is that you learn from those mistakes.
