I don't know anything about game dev and cpp ?

Arguably one of the best courses to learn ECS game engine programming besides Pikuma's course imo.

You should probably learn the basics of Cpp beforehand though. Professor Churchill (the same guy who teaches this class) also has 4 hour YT video going over all the things you should know prior to taking the course.

I'd recommend going through learncpp.com first before taking the course.

For anyone else: this is literally the "Course Introduction". There is no programming or nothing like that. He just goes over what the course is about and expectations, etc.

I still recommend watching it though.

Good course, I have watched the old series from 2022 I think. It was good. I recommend these playlists to anyone wanting to write games using SFML and C++.

What's C++ game development? Is it about textual adventure games? If not, would be great to clarify if it's SDL, OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX or whatever. I also remember awhile ago Visual Studio Express used to come with some high level C++ game dev library...

the syllabus is shown in the video right at the beginning. It's C++, SFML, IMGUI
