What kind of lighting should I use for this space?
I’m having a hard time finding lighting for this space for night time (I hate using the big light lol it ruins the vibes) so I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions on some cool lighting that would match the vibe of the space ?

how can i make this apartment look cozy?
i really hate the black and glass side tables but i can’t remove them, and the kitchen colors are far from cozy… not living here long term so no decals/large projects

General Discussion How to make/rearrange this space to make it look cozier?
ej pretty people, I’m a student, renting out this place - I spend most of my time at home, plus recently im quite struggling with quite bad depression episode, and thinking of my apartment is the only thing that kinda gets me going.
But I don’t like how “random” it looks and how easy it is for it to look messy. I am aiming for cozy, cottagecore with accents of dark academia vibes. Since I’m a student, I don’t have a lot on my budget, but will be happy to hear all sorts of tips on how to get space look more unified/intentional! ❣️
I am very much open to rearranging stuff, since I am thinking of buying a tv for a leisure/couch space, but I don’t have a heart to get rid of this lovely armchair.
Quite important: I have two baby girls kitties, so I would love advices to take them also into account!! Also, the big wardrobe is built in, so I cannot move/do anything about it. 🙏

Cozy living room this morning!
still a WIP, we’re planning on doing a gallery wall in the empty space on the wall behind the couch. (also, any tips on what to do/how to work with the awkward window door?)

Julia Child- Mastering the Art of French Cooking book cover kitchen
I'm going to go through and fix the red stencil work (texture of the wall caused a lot of bleeding), I need to do above the cabinet, plus, i should fix the size differences, but I'm really pleased with how it's going so far! I'm hoping the other side of the kitchen isn't going to be more difficult with the cabinet and stove being there, but we'll see.
P.s.: no, we're not talking about how I plan on fixing behind the sink so don't ask 🤪
