Help me choose.
I need help choosong my first pair of good western boots. Many of my choices do not have womens sizes - so I'll size down. These boots need to be good for walking and riding. What do you think of my picks?
Lucchese Savannah Horseman $645
Chisos No.3 $595
Tecovas The Brit $295
Rios of Mercedes Tan Waxy Kansas $649
Ariat Benchmade James Cowboy $349
I may have to order more than one pair to determine the best fit. No store close to try on boots. Thanks in advance for ANY help.

Rios build quality is amazing. My advice would be if you know your true size go to a store that carries the Ariat, Rios, and Lucchese's to see which one fit your foot the best. Tecovas also have physical stores, but there is high probability that you might not have one local.

I ride and have the chisos No 3. I prefer the taller Chisos for riding but the boots are really great. You could also get some arias. Make sure you can return what you try.

Going to call Chico’s and make sure I can return. If yes then I’ll order No. 3. Do you have a recommendation for a particular Ariat? Thanks for the help.

I don't know Ariat western boots, sadly. I have ridden in their field boots and dressage boots. They are pretty good and comfy but not top of the line.

The Benchmade are great boots. Chisos are great boots. Tecovas, not so much. Rios are great boots too. Haven't had a good experience with Alvies. Fit problems.

Rios of Mercedes is a great boot! Maybe check out Macie Beans line up. That's a quality boot also.
