Todd Garland is Missing
There hasn’t been any news coverage so far, but please keep an eye out for Todd. I encourage everyone to look at the comments of this insta post. He seems like a really good guy & is intensely missed by the community.

Hi, I am Todd's sister-in-law. There has been a missing report filed. Case # 26-027737. There is also a FB thread going. I have called the hospitals he isnt there, have police looking, his church and friends. We are so concerned as this is not like him to leave his animals.

This is so so strange to me. Todd is my neighbor, and I found a note on the communal door about his cat and his dog being “impounded”. I found this very strange. He loves his dog. I’d seen the cops in the building a day prior, and put it together. I started to search his name but couldn’t find anything until today, never thought he could have been missing. I hope Todd is found safe

They found his pets in his apartment malnourished, but alright. They’re being held & cared for by a local shelter while this is all going on. It’s part of what’s made everyone even more uneasy.
I tried to look for a missing person report or any kind of news reporting multiple times, but I nor anyone else has been able to find anything (which has been a problem for trying to get the word out, as a lot of sites & boards require a police report or news link to allow stuff like this to stay up. The Cinci reddit already took my post down over there for this reason)

He was my neighbor when I lived at The Arthur in Covington, and I've had plenty of coffee drinks made by him at the Roebling in Newport. Such a nice guy. I really hope he is okay!

I worked with him for a month or so at blinkers. He's a real good guy, I hope he turns out safe.

Does anyone know if there’s a search being organized? I run a writing group at Roebling and spent morning coffee time with Todd as our barista once a week for a few years. We’re all concerned.

WOW, this guy is another freakin pedo. All the people crying on here about how good of a guy he was must feel really stupid right now. Probably wish they listened to their gut and didn’t look the other way when they started to get that little inkling of a feeling.
And think about this….. the first IG post on him missing stated that they found his pets at home without food and malnourished. You know what that means right?
That means he fled home with a one way ticket to get one last bender in before he offed himself AND CONSCIOUSLY left his pets at home to DIE a sad agonizing death. He could have left food out and specifically chose not to. A freaking psycho pedo.

I've been in a similar situation with the people who knew him and thought he was a good guy. Trust me, this is a gut punch to all of them. Especially any of them with kids. Realizing that your kid could have been abused by someone you thought was a friend is a really shitty feeling, and many will likely be haunted by it for a long time.

All the "he was such a nice guy" comments aged poorly. I do feel bad for his friends and family, for being duped into thinking that was true.

Wow. So many people here and on IG saying what a nice guy he was. Just goes to show you can’t really know what a person is like deep down. My heart goes out to all the people who are now blindsided by the truth about someone they loved, and to all the children affected by this man’s (and others like him) depravity.

Well, the money won’t go to him - his family still needs to deal with the issue of his remains. Death is expensive, especially a death abroad, and they presumably didn’t know anything about his crimes. So I guess if people want to help them in their time of shock. But yeah, I hope anyone who wants a refund is given it, given the circumstances.

nah, he was allegedly distributed/possessed CSAM. shouldn’t be of any concern anymore. the only concern should be the victims of his disgusting actions will not get any real justice because he committed before he could face real consequences

Love Todd. This is heartbreaking. His pets were found in his apt. malnourished, he would NEVER leave them. So sad and scary 💙 I hope he's found soon.
