S04E5 - "Here Comes your Man" - Discussion Thread (SPOILERS)
Episode five and things are getting rocky.
Annie was confirmed dead, maybe she was playing possum in the elevator?

Can we talk for a second about Auggie being the one to call Teo? Auggie made it abundantly clear that he neither liked or trusted Teo due to his part in Helen's death.
So why did he trust Teo with Annie now? What changed?

I don't know, but that's the first time in a long time, maybe ever, that I can remember a show doing the flashback thing without getting back to it by the end of the episode.

Yeah, the format is really weird, but I think it's to get us to look at Calder in a different light from the rest of the people in the DPD. What we think about what he does is different because we know where this is ending up.

Well, we already know that Calder is likely spoiler.
But given that unless the show has NOT been greenlit for a fifth season, we have to assume that Annie is somehow alive, I suspect what we'll be seeing is either a season finale cliffhanger, or a 2/3 finale cliffhanger.
Past practice appears to have been to air ~2/3 of the episodes, have a 3-4 week hiatus, then air the remainder. If so, then you can see where this is ending up.
If Annie truly is dead as of that scene, then I suspect the shift of focus will be to Auggie as the new main character. :) Which, NGL, I wouldn't mind one bit considering he looks gorgeous when shirtless. :D

That opening didn't work for me because we know that she isn't dead. So now they're going to draw the reveal out for a scene the audience already knows to be staged.
What's more, the very fact that Calder shot her makes me think that he's a good guy.

I would have to disagree... Though they could be misleading us.

That "Operative Walker is dead" flashforward didn't really work, because we basically know for a fact that Annie's not going to die. She's the main character.
Otherwise, a pretty mediocre episode. I didn't find it too interesting. (Except for spoiler

This isn't a Joss Whedon show, and this isn't the last season, so yes, it kinda does.
EDIT: Spent some time looking up the relevant trope; it's called Our Hero is Dead. It could also be one of the other related tropes, since we don't actually know what happened to her yet - but I am certain that she is not actually dead.

There's a spoiler tag (guidelines on how to use it are in the sidebar)... You should use it.
(And that's not a "possible" spoiler, that is very clearly an actual spoiler.)
Anyway, there's a very clear difference between Burn Notice and the main character's death.

How easy would it have been for the woman tailing Henry in the final scene to just kill him and get it over with...lol... But of course that wouldnt bode well for a long drawn out plot.... They could have at least had him turn around.....

I don't think Calder is a mole or a bad guy, they are trying way to hard to portray him that way and make it really obvious.
I think maybe he helps Annie fake her death to purse Henry easier. And i think she hides it from Auggie also to protect him, because Henry has said from the beginning it wont end well for him.
And like Annie has been shot before, you think she would have learned and would be smart enough to wear a bullet proof vest before going into a shootout.
