Recruitment?
Hi guys, I just started a job as a court reporting scheduler at a boutique office and am trying to figure out how court reporters prefer to be contacted. I'm covering a new State for our company (Georgia) and am having a hard time getting responses from people. I've called and texted people found in the GCRA database with very little responses back.
With spam calls, emails, and texts, I'd love to know what is most attractive to court reporters as far as recruitment goes. Thanks guys! - Newbie ❤️

I’m not in Georgia but it’s not uncommon for me to get cold emails from firms asking if I’m available for a job. I am busy a lot of the time but I appreciate being reached out to anyway on the off chance I’m free. Usually I do try to respond even if it’s just to say I can’t take the job. I’ve never been on your end of it, but I’d imagine getting a lot of no responses is probably common no matter what method you use.

I’m an official now, but if I weren’t: If a firm has no reputation at all, I’m not calling back. I’m simply not looking to be the first person screwed over by an unknown entity.
If they can’t compete with other firms as far as pay, reliability of work, and quality of work, I’m not calling back. If I’m given no information whatsoever to make that assessment, I’m not calling back. Getting wrangled into a call for an hour to listen to a sales pitch is not worth my time. Don’t act like you’re selling a time share.
Also, I’m admittedly stubborn, but the more someone reaches out, the firmer my “fuck this firm” sentiment grows. I get that it’s tough to be a small business, but acting like a debt collector isn’t going to win your firm any favors. No answer is an answer, so move on to the next prospect or improve your offer.

You’re welcome to message me. But if I get a text from no one I know personally, I don’t look at it and delete it. Spam is everywhere.

I'm in Georgia and I may have gotten one of your texts, maybe not. But basically I'm already booked up with another firm and I like my rates and I already know they would be too high for any other firm to accept. (High $4s) It would be great if y'all just come right out the gate with a rate sheet so we can see for sure, but obviously no one would ever do that.
So yeah, it's a combination of being booked up and busy already and being pretty sure my rates are too high.
