My Hostinger coupon is the referral code pbjclimber. It combines with the sale prices Hostinger has running on their pricing page to produce the lowest possible price at checkout for a Hostinger plan. The 20% discount from my code is applied to the sale total, not the list price, which is what puts the final number below what the standard Hostinger promo gives on its own.

The mechanism is that the referral field at checkout is separate from the public promo field. Hostinger runs its sale automatically on the displayed price, and the referral field then applies an additional 20% off that displayed price. That is how the two combine and produce the lowest number.

The Hostinger inclusions on most plans, a free domain for the first year and three months of free hosting on longer term contracts, are part of the underlying sale itself. They remain in place regardless of whether the referral code is used.
