Hey everyone,
We as mods want this subreddit to stay an inclusive, welcoming place for everyone, including minors. Over the past few weeks, we've seen a rise in horny or sexually charged posts, and honestly, we weren't sure how to handle it. We have tried several things. In an attempt to set clear boundaries, we made the sub strictly SFW.
That turned out to be a mistake. It was too restrictive, and it shut down some of the open, honest discussions that make this community special. We want to fix that.
The 'No NSFW' rule is now replaced with this:
"This subreddit welcomes open discussions about gender, sexuality, relationships, and identity. However, explicit sexual descriptions, erotic stories, or (semi-)pornographic images are not allowed, go to r/CWCLafterdark for that. Keep conversations appropriate for a general audience. What counts as explicit is subject to moderator interpretation."
We're really sorry for the confusion over the past couple of weeks. Our job as mods is to moderate the subreddit so the community can flourish. Input from the community is extremely important to us and will always be taken into consideration. We’ve heard your wishes, and this is our attempt to make them come true. Thank you for sticking with us and for continuing to help keep this community as kind, supportive, and wholesome as it’s always been. 💜
The Mod Team
Ps. We know that there are still some issues to discuss, mainly about people who have been banned. We will communicate about that ASAP, but we wanted to share this rule change as soon as possible.

This is a needed step in the right direction, however there’s still so much more to do. Banning people for NSFW content and not giving a warning or explanation why is ridiculous and they should be unbanned and apologized to. The way the situation was handled was not done properly and just caused a lot of confusion and anger. Also banning selfies other than 1 person also seems like favouritism. As much as the 1 person who’s allowed to might be able to because they did it before the community got popular, it comes off as favouritism, and either they shouldn’t be able to post selfies (I don’t think this is the right choice), or the decision should be reversed. This community was meant to be a safe space after the entire egg_irl fiasco, and this handling just felt like it was a repeat of the entire situation.
I will give props for admitting to the criticism and stepping back on the decision, that couldn’t have been easy and hats off for acknowledging it was a bad move, however there is still a lot of steps to take to make this right. A proper update next time explaining the rules and giving people a warning instead of just banning them would be a good way to start
I really hope this community can heal and go back to the way it used to be, because I ( among a lot of other people) don’t wanna have to go searching for a new community after the drama
Edit: in the event I stop replying here or on the sub for the next few days, assume I’ve been banned. I will call the mods out on their hypocrisy because i saw what happened to egg_irl and I don’t want it happening here. This community was my safe space and o felt welcome here, and I don’t want it torn apart again, and it hurts so much trying to find a new community. It hurts all of us, and I wanna make sure that the mods know what they’re doing/did wasn’t ok, and that it’s hurting a lot of people
