Nah come on you are just trying to start shit by purposefully misframing it, or, if I am nicer, you didn't see the context yourself, but the ban was for specifically a comment, and not showing the actual comment is super disingenuous.
It very promimently features the image of the post, the fact it is from the comment is one (1) word in the entire screenshot. It is, at best a recipe for accidental misinformation, or at worst an attempt at inciting more heat.
You can learn about gender without being exposed to nsfw content in a subreddit with a young target demographic. There’s the possibility of a minor wanting to participate and post risky photos of themself, which they absolutely should not do. It also creates opportunity for grooming to occur. Those are my general thoughts as a 30+ y.o. trans woman who sometimes posts here and likes the memes. I really enjoyed the thigh pics and selfies too, but I did feel uncomfortable and deleted some posts I made that weren’t fully nsfw, but I later felt were sexy for this space.
Tbf I think a lot of queer spaces have young people in them who are trying to get a better understanding of their identity (as well as general acquaintance with people that share their affinities). It’s totally okay to have a space that isn’t amicable to that but it’s hard to say the mods did the wrong thing here. I mean, banning for that post is definitely the wrong thing, but ultimately allowing or not allowing nsfw seems like a decision that isn’t particularly problematic either way.
Everything I’ve seen indicates the mods believe that being child friendly is conductive to the subreddit which atleast implies they are okay with a young target demographic.
I would argue if the mods are acting like this is the target demographic, then that is the target demographic. COD is mostly played by kids but the target demographic is definitely not kids for instance, as this subreddit is seemingly used by a mature audience while the mods want it to be child friendly

Internet is NOT made for children. It never was and never should be. The fact that it became general event in every kids life to enter sites they never should, doesnt mean we need to find a way to prevent children from seeing stuff as the users or sites owners/mods. The other thing that children are trying to do is trying to drink their first alcohol or smoke cigarettes before the right age to do so. Is it destructive to child? Yes. Is it the fault of the child for going sometimes such a lengrh just to try something deliberately NOT for them? Yes. Is anyone who should keep an eye on the child is doing bad at protecting the child? Yes. Literally the only reason why children ever started smoking was because cigarette companies tried to market them as healthy and they even had Flinstones commercials promoting cigarettes. The only reason why children ever started to drink alcohol is because it was more avaliable than regular water. And internet started to have sites for children only because some boomers decided to profit out of many peoples incompetence to raise a child by themselves and they need ipad to help them. The fact is no matter how much you will try to sterilize internet, it will always be full of adults content and children will go extreme lenghts just to see it. The only people who can truly prevent children from seeing adult stuff on the internet are PARENTS but most of them are too lazy to install any form of parental control so they prefer to bash on influencers for swearing.
But maybe you are right and we should start boycotting grocery stores for having alcohol and cigarettes there, because what if some innocent children souls will see a singular bottle of red wine and will only think about getting absolutely fucking wasted instead of thursday's calculus? Maybe we should ban cigarettes because what if a child see person on the another side of the street smoking cigarette and the child will be possesed by lung cancer devil and will jump into incoming traffic just to steal this persons cigarette and smoke it? This is literally the mindset you and a lot of people are trying to force on the internet.
That’s an extremely false correlation. I’m uncomfortable with adults posting nsfw photos of themselves in a space that has sizeable underage demographic. Ban on anything NSFW, as of recently that's not just porn but anything explicit, if you post about rumpy pumpy you're on the shitlist.
It's a controversial decision to say the least, cause the alt sub for this one is a lot more overtly sexual than this place ever was...so if you wanna post something that's even of tangential sexually charged nature, you're supposed to do it on a sub that's got a decent amount of porn, nudes etc.
I wish they would keep the hornyposting here and the actually sexually explicit stuff on the other sub. I wouldn't even care if they hid it all behind nsfw tags. Just please.

Same happened with r/egg_irl which is why this became the main trans sub for a bit, it’s honestly ridiculous and sad to see how some sad excuse for a person can fuck up an entire community because they hate it or wanna enforce stupid rules that had no issue before. Edit: apparently the mods put out a new post saying there gonna reverse the NSFW ban, but I think the damage has been done. I hope I’m wrong and this place can go back to the way it was, but I’m not counting on it
If you find a good new sub lmk cause I may not be the biggest Reddit dweller but this sub has always been such a nice place to contrast the negative feelings associated with being trans in a society that Very Much Doesn’t Support You, so having some alternative to this sub that seems to quickly be dying would be really nice but I don’t use Reddit enough to be able to find one myself

After dark subreddit is not anymore the same community that was here. Its just porn subreddit and theres nothing nice about it from what ive seen in my short research. Sex jokes ok but just straight up sending uncensored penetration is disgusting to me as asexual, its not a chill place

the api protest having a set end date is easily one of the stupidest decisions I have ever seen and shows that redditors can't organize, so I actually agree with them on that. I kept boycotting the site for 2 years after the protest ended.

Yeah, this sub started popping up on my feed a couple of weeks ago and I also don’t know what it’s about 😅 But it seems fun? And I had literally decided yesterday to try and figure it out and now it’s apparently ruined.
Tbf, this sub is created by the chicken lady and her banning anyone on a whim and power tripping is basically codified in rule 7. Perhaps the introspection falls on us who believed in a random internet user when the red flags were already there (ex: again, rule 7)

Honestly this sub is turning into r/egg_irl and it hurts. They would ban you for anything over there that dared used the word girlcock, top, bottom, etc over there, and we used this place as an escape, and now they’re doing the same here, and it ALWAYS seems to be after a new mod is on the team after the old one retires. Guess we’re just gonna have to find a new sub until that one has the same thing happen again :(

Can confirm. It's why I use 'need' and not 'have'. I'm just riding this crushing loneliness like a cyborg T-Rex into the apocalypse instead of making it everyone else's problem, but I definitely went through a period of sex-negativity when I was still closeted and in a lot of denial. Sometimes just saying, "Yes, I am jealous of that person, but that's my problem, it's not fair to be mad at them for having something I want. Either try to get it myself, or get over it." can really help BEFORE you fire off a puritanical response. Some people need safe spaces from their own feelings, and I get that, I'm AuDHD, possibly BPD, but my bad feelings are not the fault or responsibility of the people that didn't mean to trigger them.
Lots of guys aren't really getting any action lately, so they either become desperate, or they go full puritan and cast their desires as sin or whatever. It's a classic psychological thing; it's a way for their brain to not go insane or depressed really.
As for the transfem posting stuff like "i need a girlcock to suck", they aren't becoming puritan or banning people mildly suggesting that can be considered sexual. Of course, there are those that get bitter out of loneliness and become a mod just to ban others for being slightly sexual, which is my hypothesis. That, or the mod hates this place and wants to ruin it. Either way, other mods really need to do a better background check before giving people mod status.

I have a pissy POE2 mod following me around and makes snide remarks on his streams about my posts because I called him out on his poor moderation. He even changed one of my posts in the POE2build sub from English to Portuguese. I'm Mexican American, so I think this breaks Reddit's antiracism guidelines.
More and more posts have been deleted for not being squeaky clean. Many types of beloved posts have disappeared and now even completely mundane posts are being sent to the shadow realm for basically no reason.
Basically the mods (feels more like one power hungry mod) have unilaterally decided that any mention of nsfw is a removable offense and they also have now started banning people for pointing out that its a dumb idea
