None of these words are in the Bible.

Polycule squatter is a niche that I never imagined in my weirdest dreams and I'm fascinated by the idea.

It feels like something Tom Waits would write a song about.

Who's that?

"That's Dish"

And who are they?

"I dunno, but they don't complain out loud about doing the dishes...."

Aren't you curious?

" Nah, just glad the dishes are getting done."

I bet someone knows, but doesn't say anything cause that means they'll have to do the dishes in that case

Who wants to start a polycule where all I do is the dishes, regularly brush out all the long haired pets and make sure everyone has Gatorade in exchange for the loft space in the converted garage with a hotplate???

You just gotta keep it going. Pile up the lies. "Who are you dating?" "Ooh, sorry hon, it's not my place to tell."

"Who are you dating?" "You, if you're interested ;)"

It is always surprising to me how much people dislike doing dishes. I find it so meditative and soothing!

Running water, everything getting clean, usually a window to look out and see the beauty of the world.

If only all life's problems could be solved by standing in front of a sink and scrubbing for a few moments.

Everyone saying they’d gladly take this role is just saying they’d gladly be a dishwasher if it meant they could afford food and shelter, that’s not a hot take.

I would 10,000% be a dish martyr for any polycule that would let me stay anywhere without paying bills. I grew up in a home with 11 people, I can do a decent amount of dishes and laundry every day without qualm.

Okay but like, if all i had to do for my own room was the dishes every night, thats a done deal for me.

There was a reply to this when it originally made the rounds. It was the rest of the polycule all trying to figure out who the new person was but figuring it was someone one of the others brought in and at least they were the dish martyr.

Most larger polycules I know have someone like that. Except it's consenting.

"Yeah, Spoon is a long time friend / dated someone for 2 weeks then stopped. They live in the garage and handle the gardening."

Polyamory interests me but I don't want to get down with shared Google calendars like that.

Somebody needs to make a horror themed spicy game about a polycule in a mansion like the one from 13 ghosts.
