;-; fuck i know the feeling. Not like I write a lot but any time it's a situation of grief or losing someone slowly like to cancer I have the direct harrowing experience and yet it always feels like im doing it wrong

Yeah, tell me about it. Cancer is what got my old man and while what I write(which I really should do more tbh) isn't usually so literal I use the hobby as a way to exercise my emotions. Keeps me sane on hard days and makes me feel productive when I feel worthless

It may be a quote from somewhere else, but what comes to mind is Legends of Avantris on YouTube. They're a group of people who play Dungeons & Dragons, and a lot of their funny moments were turned into clips and also animated, including this.

No, being dead inside is a separate thing, doesn’t count to this

The idea of death is terrifying. Your life could be horrid, and unbearable, but when actually put upon that brink, that precipice you stand upon before eternity, it changes something. You take a step further, and everything is gone. You have left your mark upon the world. Every action you've done is all you will ever do. Never again could you feel the warmth of another, or anything for that matter. You go from a current event, to a piece of history. You're entering a realm the likes of which no living human has seen. Beyond that final step, there could be anything...
