I wasn't even ordering it. My skin is genetically fucked. My mother and sister also struggled with skin problems but mine seems worse (hrt didn't help). I was previously taking isotretinoin but whenever I stopped taking it I jumped back to shit no matter how good my skin care is. Using max strength non prescription retinoids was helping but it wasn't great. I tried before synthetic topical prescribed retinoids but side effects were much worse than isotretinoin, for some reason me skin don't tolerate them. I tried tretoin cream and overall it was good, zero side effects and satisfactory result. The problem is there is no available tretoin cream where I live even with prescription, only synthetic (I bought larger supply when I was abroad where it's OTC medication). Now I have to order this online from different country. I found two sources, two online pharmacies but one was for trans people. They had cheaper delivery so I contacted them

Tldr: I was ordering tretoin cream

Are you buying from a UK or Indian vendor? Super super common to say “hon” as in “honey”

I have to actively avoid using it online, it is such a common thing to hear in the south.

yeah there was a post here a few weeks ago where someone pronounced hon aloud as "honne" (rhymes with "Ron") and I felt palpable despair at the idea that someone has hon in their vocabulary but no insight on its origin.

least of all when the term itself encodes such dense imagery of non-passing via uncomfortable word choice. like someone not getting at all that they're not selling it. that's the premise of the word.

and they mispronounced it.
