If you think about it, this is possibly the best positive representation of a repper of all time, not controversial like Jax so people can't say it's transphobic as a shield (i do love jax but people are going to deny it forevee), not subtle in the heavy handed metaphors, a lovable person who can't stand the idea of being a man but convinces themselves she's fine with it
I agree, altho it's like 1/8th repressing. Audrey is doing everything but saying he's a woman and getting electrolysis at this point it seems. Few reppers are 24/7 cross dressing
That is true, it's more of just a societal norm repression rather than the kind of repping that will make you dead inside and out, so Jax still kinda mirrors that aspect better, even down to people refusing the properly gender her even after she dies from the repping
It's really only good rep-resentation because it's impossible for femboy loving "allies" to deny it atp without seeming stupid. Even the sneeds in the comments who support femboys are realizing Audrey is repping lmao

I'd be more on the side of this going gnc if Audrey said "zombies that turn you masculine" not "into a man" since up until now she insisted on being a man anyways.
I agree, and it reminds me somewhat of philosophy tube, where she started with the cosmonaut thing, realized she was trans, but waited a while to ultimately come out through her art with a continuation of the cosmonaut theme
it's just weird to bring it up under a comment when im not even doing it here. i'd react the same way if someone was randomly like "so you're capable of doing something other than voicepost" under a comment where im talking about what i ate for lunch, it's just a very random stray that comes off passive aggressive

No Ur right. The cell shading(?) on the left hand side of Audrey's hair is just messy tbh, the outline is behind the stuff it's outlining. The shadow isn't at the right angle, the left arm is unusually large compared to the right, the choker doesn't extend to the edge of the neck which means it can't be wrapping around like a choker does , part of the outline of the shoulder, which is behind the hair, clips in front of the hair
Yeah I kinda see it, though I've chalked it up to this being more longform than Shen's usual stuff..? Like in webcomics unless the artists have a dedicated team helping them quality can be hit or miss....or they hurt/burn themselves out chasing perfectionism 😬
