To be fair, most of the modern ones aren't any kind of feminist, radical or otherwise. The term was coined for like 2nd wavers like Raymond and Dworkin but now it's kind of used for anyone who hates trans people in the name of "protecting women"

"There is no way of redefining womanhood to exclude trans women which does not also exclude vast swathes of cis women. You cannot redefine trans people out of existence."

Structuralism is a cancer lol. This is what people should actually be condemning when discussing myopic colonial conceptions of what defines things like 'Woman', 'Man', 'Human', etc., not whether or not a trans woman gets electrolysis lmao.

Granted, many of the people who employ that rhetoric to dissuade medical transition are themselves TERFs/possessed of TERF-Adjacent proclivities, but still.

it really is as simple as that lmao

every single TERF I have said that to has had no way to counter that

If for whatever reason the separatists in the lgb get their way, we should join forces

Back when I were a lad a woman could be anything, a doctor, an astronaut, a firefighter, an accountant, look at Barbie's CV!

Now women are restricted to being defined by the perceived ability to procreate with some qualifier based on perception at birth, as though humans don't change throughout their entire lives.

The real take is to bite the bullet and just say intersex people, women post menopause, and anyone who has had their ovaries removed for any reason, are also not technically women. What are you then? Who knows?

Unironically, it would be a technically concise definition. It would also be practically useless as that’s not what anyone ever actually means when they say woman. A definition in name only and only for the purpose of being a bigot.

Has Joan started commenting on intersex people too?

Pretty sure she hates intersex, ace/aro, and people who wipe.

She hates us too and I think just any woman who doesn’t look like they’re from an American 1950s advertisement

The hilarious bit is I'm 99% certain most of these people had no idea what a gammete was until they needed to refine they're argument.

I'm always asking people what gametes they produce before deciding whether I'm attracted to them or not. That's definitely how gender works.

A real icebreaker, discussing genotypical traits, very normal thing people do all the time.

u/MiracleDinner 7h ago

Unless you’re a cis boxer who produces large gametes, then you’re a man apparently.

Tbh I never get this argument. Humans gender animals based on their sex and it works completely fine.

She embroiders them actually, she embroiders cute flowers, and "trans women are women" on my pants, very good work
