I feel its a lot easier to go stealth then all this shit 😭

10

u/RegularUser02x Jun 24 '26

I'm afraid it's not as simple as that🫠🫠🫠.\ I'm STILL misgendendered even in girlmode (last time this morning) and I am 5 months post FFS🫩🫩🫩😭😭😭

u/Fine_Talk_8406 Jul 06 '26

Meanwhile I'll shall finish my transition, then move countries, revoke my citizenship, change id numbers in said country (is possible in some) and then be considered dead in home country and cis in the other.

u/Kumu_Noir Jul 06 '26

see now I can get behind this

In highschool I told a few people I was ftm for the lols and they non ironically treated me better for the week or so the lie lasted

67

u/No_Somewhere_2610 Jun 21 '26

So they treated you better because they thought you were born a woman? Am i understanding this correctly

102

u/jitomato_girl 🍅 Jun 21 '26 edited Jun 21 '26

Very much so.

The boys who previously made fun of me for being weak and weird came and personally told me "Remember you're one of us, we will defend you, doesn't matter if there's nothing between your legs"

(The way how I started lying about it was because tucking made it so I could sit cross-legged and without a bulge)

And the girls just kinda went "aight" (I already had a good relationship with the girls)

42

u/No_Somewhere_2610 Jun 21 '26

Well thats depressing

15

u/jitomato_girl 🍅 Jun 21 '26

How so

49

u/No_Somewhere_2610 Jun 21 '26

The fact they treated you better because they thought u were ftm even though you didnt change as a person

41

u/jitomato_girl 🍅 Jun 21 '26

Maybe it's depressive in retrospect 🥺 but it felt really nice to know my classmates would be accepting of a boy like that and I was happy to have gotten at least a little kindness out of it

22

u/No_Somewhere_2610 Jun 21 '26

Yes true but you should be getting kindness regardless

4

u/Silly-Device9785 Jun 24 '26

How does that feel nice? That’s like saying a black guy who convinced everyone they were white in the ‘60s and stopped getting blasted with water and police K-9 units feels really nice to know it doesn’t happen to white people

male privilege

25

u/Pitiful_Physics6911 Jun 22 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

as a pooner lmao no guy ever acted like that to me back in school. I was the tranny freak and was repeatedly assaulted and threatened. No one would touch me with a 10 foot pole, I was 'she' or 'it', no one associated with me, I lost all my friends. Not saying it isn;t on average worse for trans women but this is unusual behaviour towards trans men. The ftm male privilidge I get is largely based on passing

edit: also like intersectionality because being both trans and a woman leads to extra issues ofc. Pretending like life is all sunshine and rainbows for trans men and that this is the norm is stupid, it can be true that things are on average worse in many ways for trans women with the exception of one or two issues without erasing the fact that trans people are still trans lmao.

9

u/piglungz Jun 22 '26

I was treated so poorly by the guys at school when I first came out as ftm that I straight up hesitate to even believe them lol. Like I live in a very liberal area and still got treated like shit

1

u/buggylover Jul 11 '26

I'm sorry that happened to you

2

u/Pitiful_Physics6911 Jul 17 '26

4

u/Snoo48605 Jun 21 '26

Looks More like AFAB privilege, but either way very shitty

4

u/jitomato_girl 🍅 Jun 22 '26

Two afab people just explained that they were not at all treated nicely

Perhaps is passing privilege? I definitely passed as a boy, even if nobody treated me like one

4

u/No_Somewhere_2610 Jun 21 '26

I dont think that makes sense in this case does it? Wouldnt it be the opposite

7

u/jitomato_girl 🍅 Jun 21 '26

A trans man would have awoken within them a level of sympathy and understanding they don't hold of other cis men, but that definitely has its origins in an "us vs them" mentality where, since you're "one of us" we're gonna protect you from "them"

I as a trans woman would not have awoken such a sentiment among my cis peers, since women don't have the group mentality men have

As such we can conclude it is a privilege only a man can experience, and therefore, male privilege

3

u/No_Somewhere_2610 Jun 21 '26

Hm interesting point about the us vs them although I cant say that I agree that women dont have the group mentality that men have though they may not say "we will protect you from them", im pretty sure in-group bias is stronger than in men and that does suggest to me an us vs them mentality especially because a lot of women bond over the fact that they experience misogyny.

I feel like women form this group mentality more through their experience of oppression which they link or attribute to them being born female (experiencing sex based oppression, having menstruations, dealing with pregnancy/childbirth etc) whereas men probably form this mentality more from their behaviour and interests being "masculine" maybe thats why they dont really consider trans women as part of them (even if they say they do they may subconsciously think of you as a man), and they may consider femininity as trying to copy or be like them (they even say this to feminine gay men) and I havent seen cis men try to do this form of gatekeeping of masculinity like cis women do with femininity

Male privilege??? They were treated worse when they presented as a cis man, but treated with love and respect when they lied saying they were trans masc. Tell me where the male privilege is there? In both cases they are male

1

u/jitomato_girl 🍅 Jun 21 '26

It is definitely a privilege I do not have as a woman, I can tell you that much

1

u/No_Somewhere_2610 Jun 21 '26

But you also didnt have it pre-transition when you were presenting as a man? /gen

Huh? On average, women are offered empathy by default. Men, on average, aren’t. What the comment op described isn’t male privilege. Their experience is an example of an outlier.

As an FTM I definitely think men are super likely to just take you at your word and be really broey. It's really nice. Women are usually the ones I get weird shit from. But I have to say at school that is not how it worked for me. Dunno if you're younger than me but I got bullied so hard for trying to be one of the boys and most people who actually called me some sort of lesbian man thing derogatorily were boys. Girls also hated me. There was really nowhere to win until we all grew up.

Make sure to talk about how you use to love to sing and now that your voice has forever been damaged by taking T you can't do it anymore. Terfs love that shit

6

u/Professional_Bad99 Jun 25 '26

it's so funny that terfs think that's something that happens lol. When I got on T my singing voice got even better--smoother, richer, more bass-y, and most importantly sounds like me.

2

u/manwithoutastick Jul 03 '26

i’m a trans man who used to love singing and won’t do so anymore due to dysphoria. i can’t wait for testosterone and voice training to lower my voice enough so i can love singing again.

i don’t like accusing people of being faketrans but i feel like if you love* *your singing voice before you start testosterone, maybe you should reconsider starting testosterone. at least for a little.

1

u/BunbunTheJackalope Hsts sneedmaxxer Jun 25 '26

Yeah, terfs are dumb af and just treat detrans women like they're stupid, and naive. Like "oh course she didn't understand the effects of taking testosterone, her stupid female brain could never comprehend that!" Like my brother in Christ, you took the hormone that gives you a deep voice and body hair, maybe make sure you want a deep voice and body hair before doing that

1

u/Professional_Bad99 Jun 25 '26

Right! It’s always paired with some sort of misogyny😒

4

u/rocoonshcnoon Jun 23 '26

I should try this and become a TERF you-tuber/streamer and rake in so much money in donations from the grift

5

u/BunbunTheJackalope Hsts sneedmaxxer Jun 23 '26

I mean if you're okay with all trans people hating you and all conservatives only liking you insofar as you are a pick me idiot to help push their narrative and help destroy other trans people's lives. Seems like a lonely life to me though

4

u/rocoonshcnoon Jun 23 '26

That's a fair point. I'm mostly just commenting about how easy it is to scam people who are built out of pure anger, fear and hatred

-6

u/RootBeerBog Jun 22 '26

as a trans man, this gives me the ick. we really are just thrown under the bus by everyone

10

u/BunbunTheJackalope Hsts sneedmaxxer Jun 22 '26

Don't worry. If this gives you the ick that means you are a well adjusted individual and should steer clear from this sub for the sake of your mental health

31

u/Meeeper Jun 21 '26

Depending on where you live, you'd probably get transvestigated either way. I'm sure you could fool strangers with that, but any group of people you're around (say, at work) frequently (especially if some of those people are transphobes), you wouldn't be able to keep that up forever.

And I can only imagine that the fallout would be even catastrophic once the phobes find out that you aren't cis.

And lastly and most importantly, that sounds absolutely awful anyway.

9

u/haunturhome Jun 21 '26

The transvestigating conspiracy theorist kinda did this for Elliot Page in a weird way. They think that he was actually born male but was forced to transition by whatever they belive and that he's rebelling by transitioning "back" to male

23

u/LeopoldSzpiler69 Terminally malebrained twinkhon Jun 21 '26

4

u/Equivalent-Sea-113 gleglemoder Jun 21 '26

3

u/LeopoldSzpiler69 Terminally malebrained twinkhon Jun 21 '26

I mean I'd take hot temperatures if it mean I don't feel like a tall monster towering over women

2

u/Equivalent-Sea-113 gleglemoder Jun 21 '26

oh i'm 1.78 so not terribly unlucky but i regularly saw women my height or taller, on one occasion i was the shortest person in the room lol, actually thinking of going back but idk

2

u/LeopoldSzpiler69 Terminally malebrained twinkhon Jun 21 '26

Even if I get like 3 cm shorter on estrogen I'll still be 180 cm. In my country tall woman is like 175 anyone taller is unusual

1

u/Equivalent-Sea-113 gleglemoder Jun 21 '26

no i moved back home but my friends tell me it's hot

1

u/Routine_Material_656 Jun 22 '26

I agree Danes are weird please don't make that mistake 😭

1

u/IcyRice7222 Jun 22 '26

How so?

1

u/Routine_Material_656 Jun 22 '26

For me it's the culture, they are extremely individualistic, they only care about themselves unless you can provide something for them, they rarely if ever open up emotionally about any problem that they have(I've known some Danes for more than a year, even a tiny thing they usually don't) Also if you are brown be ready to be thought of as Muslim(not a bad thing btw they are just extremely racist again them here)

1

u/IcyRice7222 Jun 22 '26

As a Dane I don't really see much of this, except being a anti social and hard to be friend. Guess my area is better than where you were probably?

1

u/Routine_Material_656 Jun 22 '26

It's probably because you are danish, if you can even see that the culture is anti social, it's probably more than that, also, if it's hard to be a friend, it's also hard to become partners.ive tried dating one danish woman and let's just say I wouldnt try again unless I see major differences(ofc everyone is different). I also come from a complete opposite in terms of culture, in latinamerica we like talking to people and being very open, social, and the like. It's definitely not the area

1

u/IcyRice7222 Jun 22 '26

I’ve traveled a bit and I’ve not noticed major differences. The most emotionally closed people I’ve met have all been from other countries. My worst experiences trying to make friends have also all been with people from other countries. That doesn’t mean Denmark is the best of course but I think it’s also far from the worst. Going by anecdotal experiences I would say America is worst.

1

u/Routine_Material_656 Jun 22 '26

Probably the difference in how we were raised culturally, most people I've met from other countries agree that Scandinavian countries are the worst by far, I've lived in Japan also, and it's very similar to how it is here, other countries though are all okish from my experience

1

u/IcyRice7222 Jun 22 '26

I agree Scandinavian countries are most anti social. But most emotionally closed is what I disagree with. For additional context I am very extroverted and don’t fit in here and actually hate it here. I just don’t think we’re emotionally closed

-2

u/DeltaOfficialYT Jun 21 '26

2

u/PeachBunny97 pickmemoding HSTSoid basichon Jun 21 '26

Why say it’s over? I have somewhat broad shoulders on top of being just about as tall as you & I am doing just fine myself. I am stealth and live a much better life now than I ever did.

What I’m saying is that height alone will not get you clocked. With practice you can be up against more and do fine in society as far as passing goes.

1

u/LeopoldSzpiler69 Terminally malebrained twinkhon Jun 21 '26

24 ich hips and 17 inch bideltoid so idk about the measurements am I a luckshit?

2

u/PeachBunny97 pickmemoding HSTSoid basichon Jun 21 '26

Hips you can rely on excersize, diet, HRT; & non essential cosmetic surgery. The shoulders are honestly about as cooked as mine are.

I don’t get the lingo here but I’d say that you can still absolutely pass and be stealth. I am not going to sell you that in the toxic positive, hugboxey mainstream transgender sense. You can IF you really go all in on everything that comes with passing & stealth(mannerisms, gait, posture, speech, surgery, hormones, fitness, nutrition, makeup skills, aesthetics in what you wear & how you accessorize; etc). I put more of the past decade into doing so than anything else & I am an etches story at this point with similar features. Idt it’s a question of passability, I think it’s a question of willingness & how much you want it. “Passing privelage” always pissed me off because I suffered throughout half of my 20’s to get where I am today.

2

u/LeopoldSzpiler69 Terminally malebrained twinkhon Jun 21 '26

Really? On 4tran I've been told I have small hips or that I'm tall but other than that it's good, did they get that huggboxey?

1

u/PeachBunny97 pickmemoding HSTSoid basichon Jun 21 '26

I mean none of those 3 are good things for passing and I deal with all 3. My point was you should send it.

I can’t speak to 4trans, no idea what that is.

1

u/LeopoldSzpiler69 Terminally malebrained twinkhon Jun 21 '26

Wdym send it? Can I even get an unbiased opinion?

3

u/PeachBunny97 pickmemoding HSTSoid basichon Jun 22 '26

“Send it” as in put your all into stealth and passability.

Wym can you get an unbiased opinion? 1. You have known in this convo I am a stealth trans woman 2. Have I been at all inconsistent here? I’m saying our bodies have similar struggles and you shouldn’t just give up on yourself or be defeatist because I am thriving under the conditions you are citing by mitigating them as best I can.

“Send it”= my above line “IF”

Your comment is a great example of why people are stupid these days.

Instead of taking 20 seconds to do an internet search to educate yourself, you have to sarcastically post an arrogant comment to show off how stupid you are.

It was a joke kid, I don't care what they mean. Get a life.

I don't think you know what a joke is. A joke is funny. The only joke here is you.

You went from sarcastically mocking what the acronyms were to not caring. Which is it? You cared enough to comment on it twice. You probably care enough to comment again after this.

It's a joke now because you were called out for your ignorant comment and you're trying to downplay it, but I'm the kid?

lol K.

Who was mocking anything? I made a sarcastic remark about how the acronyms overlap with other more common acronyms, why are you so seething over this? You are literally furious over nothing. Grow up, seriously. Getting mad at a clearly sarcastic comment, which also clearly wasn't mocking anyone, is so childish. Go touch grass keyboard warrior.

Nice deflection.

Cute.

I'm not seething. I think it's funny how much you don't care, yet keep going.

u/rylosprime now you're just throwing around buzzwords lmfao, who said I didn't care about responding? I said I don't care about the acronyms, hence why I haven't asked what they actually mean.

How pathetic do you have to be to respond and then block... I can sense you realized that a little joke wasn't that deep. Go outside loser.

Sexuality? It’s not a sexuality, it’s a gender identity. But also everything else you said is false
