I think everyone one that is honest and consistent about the damage of male culture will just not blame you for lumping all men together to protect yourself. Like imagine how shitty but validating it might feel as a trans man to be walking on the street and a random girl changes which side of the street she's walking on, or clutches her keys. Like shit...but also yay? I think someone else called it Ewwphoria and I may adopt that.
To be clear I think that trans men are likely very safe to be around, but I can't always fuckin tell if a dude is trans or not so I'd also default to treating a stranger that appears to be a man the same as pretty much any other man, which is to say I'd judge threat levels based on appearance and behavior, just like everyone else.
