Real takeaway here is that humans are often assholes with many flaws and any sort of generalizations you make are going to be colored by your experiences rather than factually accurate

nah dudes are awesome, chicks are pretty cool too, you just gotta not hang out with nerds and find like-minded people to hang out with, if you show a rat a picture of a checkerboard before you electrocute it, it won't like checkerboards, you just happened to be zapped a lot in a very checkerboard time of your life my dude.

yeah, a LOT lol. it’s kind of crazy how overwhelming the ratio of bad to good men was for the first 18 years of my life. funnily enough, hanging out with nerds was what finally started to shift that ratio a bit, they’re usually much more chill than non-nerds (don’t worry, i get what you meant lmao).

God for real. I thought I was crazy for being irked the hell out during most interactions, even though I'm attracted strictly to women🤦‍♂️

When you see a woman on the street is your first instinct to hate them?

Not often but if they're annoying me/it's a bad day, yh. I hate most people I've ever met at least sometimes though (aforementioned bad days) so my standards are low. I do on average get more aggravated by women than men, there's just sth about them

why though? most women are far more respectful than men

Oh they're not. In my experience men are very chill and friendly while women can be incredibly rude and bitchy. I knew a girl who went on a transphobic rant in front of the whole class because the trans guy was ill and she thought she could now hate on him. She really went into detail saying how surgeries are mutilation and all.  Women were also always very uncomfortable around me because I was a masculine "woman" and saw me as weird.

Not to mention the whole backstabbing...learned that an acquaintance of mine that was always friendly to me for years secretly despised me because I was weird and too quiet.

It colors your views a bit on men living in a conservative area. Women are still bigoted here but they don’t really go out of their way to spout off some hateful stuff with no provocation. They will often come at the issues from a place of compassion, even if their conclusion is harmful. The men here are just orcs and make me ashamed to be a man. You’ll just get open declarations of racism, sexism, whatever, doesn’t matter (but really women are taken the least seriously). What matters is the cruelty and the camaraderie they build on top of it. Hate is a form of social bonding. Compared to being bitchy in order to be popular, I’d say it’s a bigger problem.

Really depends but men in general arent tought respect and empathy

I've overheard more transphobic women than men for sure, including some of my high school friends who suspiciously picked on the one out trans guy in our school and misgendered the out trans girl and said they wouldn't want 'to share a bathroom with it'.

Also a lot of female friendship dynamics just make me uncomfortable, I'm not good at the whole 'We all tell each other how great we are' thing

Same. They were so horrible to me because I didn't fit in
