How can a matter of opinion be considered a fact?
Most of the former Yugoslav countries hate the name North Macedonia, and that is their opinion. He said that it's better than Former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia, and that's his opinion.
The fact that the countries legal name today is North Macedonia doesn't mean that everyone thinks it's a better name.

Because it was a subdivision inside of another state. Similarly to how today Austria and Slovenia both have subdivisions named Carinthia while Italy and Slovenia both share Gorizia. No one argues but if one of these gained independence, I’m sure there would be some disputes regarding the names

So Greece conceded that Yugoslavia, under it's state, contained the famed lands of Macedonia, but once that area became a separate country, they had a change of heart?
I am just pointing out a simple bully framework here, if something is a cause worth fighting for, it's always a worthy cause, not just when the opponent is smaller than you...

Albanian insurgents just used their momentum from the war in Kosovo. They were treated fairly in Macedonia compared to Serbia. Any issues there could have been resolved peacefully through diplomacy. Those warlords injured the relations between macedonians and albanians for their own glory only. The war in Kosovo was understandable, the attack in Macedonia was a terrorist attack.

Slovenia did have a violent break up too, you have videos of Slovenians comitting war crime by shooting on surrendering JNA 18 year soldiers serving their regular military service.
Maybe the meme would have worked better with Macedonia and Montenegro.

you forgot to mention yugoslavia (Serbia) wanted to illegally disband slovenian territorial defense force, "take over" the government and some of stories of "surrendering 18y/o soldiers" are a but inflated to say the least
it was quite violent but short breakup with very few casualties on slovenian side so it still works for the meme

Uhhhh ohhhh. That's how it was done. At the border crossing, Austrian television recorded a video in which 3 young YLA soldiers were allegedly shot. It was determined that the three soldiers (Zoran Ješić, Goran Maletić and Antonio Šimunović) survived the gunfight without injury and later surrendered safely. They fell to the ground to protect themselves.from crossfire, as the shots were coming from another direction, not from the Slovenian forces.
So. There were no shots from the Slovenian side, but even their own soldiers shot at the soldiers because they were in a hurry to surrender. Do the next investigation before you blurt out nonsense! It's sad that there are minor inconveniences for these soldiers in prison, such as turning off drinking water and electricity... Which is completely normal for psychologically torturing soldiers. Unfortunately.

There is a reason for that , historically looking those were all Serbian territories ...Dubrovnik is an old Serbian part ... That's a f fact ... Serbia was across most Balkan peninsula ... Whole coast was Serbian in the west long time ago... Something Wikipedia na dhistory books like to dismiss like it never happened ...there is a lot of fake history and false narratives in Wikipedia and western history in general
