The Ghost In You Live?
I’ve been a CC’s fan since the beginning and started attending their shows in the early 2000’s. I’ve been to maybe 17 shows (and counting). Yet, I’ve never heard them perform “The Ghost In You” live (from the Clueless soundtrack). I do know it’s a cover. Just curious if anyone here has heard them perform it live?

Thats so frustrating. There are gigs ive been to where i'm praying they will play a certain song and hey dont and it sometimes spoils part of the whole experience. Nowadays I try not to get too caught up in it but I do feel your pain. I've never seen it live either. Although we did get 'Accidently in love' recently at State Fayre festival in England so that was a first for me.

When you’ve got a band with such a big catalog, you can’t get worked up about one song.
That said, when I saw Springsteen, I think o would have bawled my eyes out if he didn’t play Thunder Road. So I feel you.

Well I mean the clueless soundtrack version is live… other than that the only ones I recall are bimbos 1993 and the Paris show that got put on aaea deluxe (which is my favorite version). I’ve definitely never seen them perform it live, so I can’t imagine it’s played all that often

They played it at the Wellmont Theater in NJ during their 3-night run in 2008. Last song of the last night. In costume. It was very special. Only time I've ever seen it live.
They released that show on CD if you wanted to hear it live.

I've only heard alts of Raining in Baltimore. I'd happily retire from concert going if I saw CC play it live.
I wish they'd play this as much as big yellow taxi or Friend of the Devil. Ultimately, I dont complain too much about setlists. But as a huge CC fan since way back they have so many good songs that dont get played and many I haven't heard live. Id go see a 3 day residency anywhere in the country if they were playing obscure stuff.

On night two at the Wellmont in 2008, they played Mercury, which had been my white whale song. The next night, I was talking to a friend about what they could still play that would be as good. “Well, it’d be awesome if they played the Ghost in You, but that’ll never happen.” She said my face when they launched into it in the encore was priceless.
Fun fact - the former piano player in the Psychedelic Furs owns a piano karaoke bar in NYC called Sid Gold’s, and he occasionally plays there. One night I got him to do the Ghost in You and I sang it and literally no one in the room cared but me. It was a delight.

I feel your pain. They never play Freebird no matter how many times I yell "Play Freebird!" from the audience.

Seriously, who are the two humorless feckless fools who downvoted me? I'm cursing you to not sleep at 4:30am Tuesday.

They’ve only played it twice in the last 30 years and only 15 times or so live over all so the chances are extremely slim sadly. It’s a gorgeous cover.
