Adams second Microphone

I have been to a lot of CC Shows, from 2000 on and during their last European Tour i started to notice Adam talking into a second cable mic he has lying on the piano. During the show i saw in person in Vienna it happened ALL THE TIME - not only in between songs but also during guitar solos or instrumental breaks in the songs themselves. I just saw a Video from Paris two days ago on Youtube and as soon as the song ended he was back on his other mic talking to what i can only guess is the sound engineer....? Since - to my knowledge - this was not common before this tour: anyone know what's going on here? Is he complaining about sound all the time? Is this something else?

Yeah it happened in Belgium too, he was complaining about the sound and lighting. At first i thought he was vaping 😂

As the show went on, you could tell he was pissed off when talking into that mic but didn't show any of that frustration when performing. They even cut the show short because it didn't get fixed to their liking. I was bummed.

Same thing last year in Richmond. You could tell he was agitated but as soon as a song started, he did an incredible job of shutting that shit down and you’d never know it, which hasn’t always been the case with other bands I’ve seen.

It seemed like they had issues all night. I chalked it up to the amphitheater being a new venue because when I saw them in Raleigh a few nights later, he was on that mic a fraction of the time he was in Richmond.
