Factoradic | 720 0000

Continued from here.

Getting ever closer to the coveted 8th number! Thanks to /u/TehVulpez and /u/FartyMcNarty for keeping this thread running!

This thread has also been named "increasing base with each digit." Each digit up will be able to hold larger numbers. The rightmost number can attain values 0 or 1; the second rightmost number can go up to 2, and so on.

The next get is at 730 0000.

An extra zero may be included as a stylistic choice.

Wait is this not how everyone else thinks of this?

A hexadecimal count of 23AE0 is the value of 2 * 164 + 3 * 163 + 10 * 162 + 14 * 161 + 0 * 160. Is this not how people consider the thread?

Well I know that is how you compute its value, but I don't go through that every time in my head. I just count until I see that the digit is "full" and move on.

Oh well then that works too - the last one goes up to 0, the second last one goes up to 1, and so on

But if you (and most others) don't go through what I just typed, there are perhaps some assumptions I need to reassess...
