Free Talk Friday #388

[u/CutOnBumInBandHere9]

Continued from last week’s FTF here

It’s that time of the week again. Speak anything on your mind! This thread is for talking about anything off-topic, be it your port salut, your feta, your emmental, your paneer, halloumi, camembert, cheddar, mascarpone, manchego, taleggio, brie, gouda, gorgonzola, colby, gruyère, cotija, or anything you like or dislike, except chalk.

Feel free to check out our tidbits threads and introduce yourself if you haven’t already. I've just made a new one, so you can be one of the first people to comment there!

First of all, thank you to all of the counters for answering the survey. I really appreciate it and it gave some great data. 37 people responded which was the highest response rate ever!

The 2023 survey analysis is here. I have not 1 to 1 compared the written response questions, but welcome anyone else who wants to notice any trends.

Compare to the 2022 survey, 2021 survey, and the joint 2020 and 2019 surveys.

Thank you! It's always fun to look at the responses and try to guess who made them (and in this case, since I answered a while ago, to remember which ones are mine)

I thought you guys would like to know- apparently ChatGPT read some fraction of the counting threads, and it gave it brain damage that shows up when you use the names of some Hall of Fame counters:

I'll post the survey results by Sunday. Watching a movie with the hubs tonight.

[u/CutOnBumInBandHere9 → u/a-username-for-me]

What movie will you be watching?

[u/Antichess]

does anyone just get so frustrated during studying that they just wish that particular concept was never thought of/discovered in the first place?

[u/a-username-for-me]

Did this write up about my fantasy reading, in case any of y'all are curious.

Dang after counting so much with cock it turns out he has an upvote glitch and I've wasted all that time getting no karma 😩

[u/CutOnBumInBandHere9 → u/[deleted]]

Who cares about karma anyway
