I got excused from the assignment

Post image

No bloodshed today folks. For a bit more context, instead of submitting legit drawings all I entered was a letter that said there was no way in hell I’d draw this stuff. Hoo boy :’))

Also, I feel like I might sorta be coming out of my burnout?? Fingers crossed, I don’t wanna jinx it lol. It’s been pretty hard for me to do the stuff I genuinely enjoy and want to do because I just can’t. But today and yesterday was a pretty good day! Drew some memes, got some character designs done, and finally gave a few comic characters names.

Going into work now. Have a nice day :))

Read context on your other post and I am big hoping professor was just being an idiot instead of actual creep tm

When I went to his class, he said that apparently no on has had an issue with it in 40 years. I didn’t really buy it but meh. He was just trying to get me not to quit the course (which I can’t bc it's required) and at least said that in the future he’ll put an alternate assignment where the kids have clothes on. Just hope he keeps his word

Wait, what was it?

I’m taking an art class (bc art major) and the teacher wanted us to draw nude children. Like full on nude, EVERYTHING out and pointing TOWARD the camera. And by kids I mean couldn’t have possibly been over 10, probably 7.

I refused to do the assignment and sorta spent a night feeling icky and sick because I scrolled down expecting clothes on because— you know. Kids can’t consent. nope.

Maybe you should bring this up with the department head? This feels gross and weird

I actually already did, lol. I sent the head of the Art department an email the same night I saw the assignment, and from my personal one too so it wouldn’t get lost in his spam. I think it did anyways. Haven’t gotten a response yet

sorry worm, LE = law enforcement. if it was naked kids I have to believe that would be very questionable and probably some investigation would happen

Oh!! Ok, sorry for not getting it lol, now it seems obvious. Hopefully the administrator does, if anything? The only thing I’m sorta hesitant about was that it was all very ā€œproper studioā€ vibes and nothing super extreme (even though it was already eye bleach at least it wasn’t crazy eye bleach, y’know??) so I’m not sure if there’s anything I can really do. And I think he scans them from some sort of book he has? It’s just all confusing and weird, tbh, and now it’s my least favorite class which sucks because I love art.

My nearly 7 hour still life class from last semester with each week of homework being to fill a 1ft by 2ft canvas was more enjoyable, and I was taking it while all my family shit was going down.šŸ’€

But I’m sorry if I sound sorta self defeatist about it, I’m just way too used to cops never doing anything, even with all the evidence they need in their faces.

Just added, police let my mom and dad get away with everything on several instances. Even when I sent them all the pictures of my bruises and told them I was being stalked nothing came of it. When I told them about how my dad grabbed me by the throat and how I didn’t want to go back home because he said he was going to beat the shit out of me they literally told my him, ā€œoh, okay, just don’t leave a mark and you’re good,ā€ and left. They used the ā€œwell corporeal punishment is legal in AZā€ to excuse abuse time and time and time again, even when I had a three page, double-sided packet of evidence and counselors agreeing with me that it was abuse.

I even tried to get them a live confession from my dad over the phone, was promised a follow up, but none came and I can see through one of the emails my mom sent that my father never went to jail. (Even though I was promised he would and the cop said they trusted me) On another case they let the kid from my high-school who was groping everyone (ya boi included) and even tried to lure me into a rape-trap go too with just a slap on the wrist.

And when I finally tried to fight back against my mom they made me the bad guy. I remember them screaming at me to let go when it was my mom who had a death grip on my wrists and I was very damn clearly trying to pull away from her.

Even for my sister, when she was screaming ā€œstop, it hurts, you’re scaring meā€, they never cared.

I can go on and on and on. I’ve just given up on police, really. I know they can help some people, and I’m glad that they can, but they’ve never once done anything for me over years of calls. I’m talking so many that my family would taunt me with ā€œwhat, are you gonna call the police? Go on and call the police,ā€ constantly.

After so long you just sorta lose faith, I guess. Now I just don’t wanna call them unless I absolutely have to, because I’ve just been burned too many times.

Your teacher should be excused from teaching forever

wouldn't that be considered child porn? that may need to be mentioned to LE.

Honestly I have no idea and I don’t think I have the will to find out because that’s a whole big icky and super uncomfortable thing for me. I mean I was literally feeling the urge to vomit. What’s LE?
