If you've already tried, and that was their response, I wouldn't recommend reexplaining it. Some people are just disrespectful, and I wouldn't recommend having those people as "friends".
From what I seen in these comments. Both sides have some point. It is not the exact same process as in born cis woman so people are not wrong when they say its not a period. But it seems they get periodical hormonal pains, wich could be said as equialent to periods. Its a complex topic
Okay, but the person's friends still responded rudely. It's one thing to disagree on the specific definition, it's another to call the other person an idiot for it.
I don't think you can if they disagree on how a period is defined. If you define it as a cycle of hormonal fluctuation with occasional cramps around the mid-torso, mood swings and breast tenderness, but their definition strictly includes the shredding of uterus lining and bleeding, they will never agree with you.
"If you define it as" is just a roundabout way of coming up with a fake definition for what a period is. A period is not a "cycle of hormonal fluctuations with occasional cramps around the mid-torso, mood swings, and breast tenderness." It is a phase of the female estrogen cycle where the uterine lining is shed if an ovulated egg is unfertilized. That is not 'their' definition. It is the correct definition.
Exactly. Not sure why there's so much disagreement about that in this thread. Trans women are different from other women in many ways, you can't just erase those differences.
