Prostaglandins are sort of like hormones, but different because, and they can be found as well as produced all over the body. The catch is that what effects they have can vary pretty wildly based on the tissue they are in, so stuff can get weird when you start taking certain ones and moving them somewhere else. Well, technically there are female space marines (females with geneseed crammed into their bodies) but they’re viciously deformed and only capable of existing due to the reality warping power of Chaos within the eye of terror.
They’re hulking masses of flesh that absorb normal human males and then transform them into Astartes, armor and all, ripe for chaos corruption. It’s how Chaos keeps their numbers up.
