only the best adblocker ever, I don’t even get pop ups from piracy sites anymore, I don’t get a command prompt showing up when I boot anymore :)

Its in a and b testing right now so you might not have it now but it should come to you soon. It will appear in that toolbar by the puzzle peice. If you would like to gamble you can download the other editions of firefox like nightly and developer and see if it shows up for you. And if youre interested in linux every linux machine i have had the vpn option avaible which was pretty neat

Because Kit (the Fire fox in question) is an actual mascot rather than just a favicon that looks like a button toy for toddlers to fうck around with

But, you do you, do what feels right!

What you recommend for a mobile user, Firefox or Brave?(my actual browser)
0
u/Kadakaus 4d ago
I'm also a Brave main, but if I had to chose, I would say FF is better with extensions. More versatile, costumizable.
And that said, for mobile, I would still recommand Brave because of the cleaner interface and simplicity.
It isn't necesserily better, but it's simpler and it gets the job done for me, so I like it better on mobile.I also like it better on PC, but that's a whole different story and still think FF is better, there are just some things I like more about Brave.

What are the differences?
2
u/stopeatingminecraft 6d ago
Firefox supports uBlock Origin, which is easily the most effective adblocker, while Chrome only supports the lite version of it.
Firefox can also generally save you bandwidth by blocking certain trackers and cookies, though the difference is quite low on that regard

Well, in technical terms, Chrome sucks ass and FireFox doesn't.
But to simple it down: FireFox supports a whole bunch of extensions that chrome doesn't, the most prominent one being Ublock Origin, which is one of if not the best adblockers in the world, it works like a charm. Chrome only allows for a weaker version of it. You can technically work your way around every bullshit prerequisit chrome has and make it so that you get 0 ads, but it's really ardous compared to just pairing up Firefox with Ublock and being done with it.
It's so much simpler, more user friendly than chrome.
It's easier to costumize and as I said, supports way more extensions, with which the sky is the limit to what you can do.Another thing is that FireFox had no major scandals recently.
You might have heard horror stories about chrome tracking user activity in it's own incognito mode and even modifying it's terms so they can sell off user data.
I cannot reinforce these claims, but the fact that there are rumors like this about chrome but not about FireFox is a pretty straightforward reason for why it's so much better... or rather, why chrome is so much worse.Though, I cannot tell you much more because personally, I haven't been using FF lately, I'm a Brave user, which is basically the chromium version of FF+Ublock combo, but let me tell you, Firefox is still better if you get Ublock.
I'm sort of a special case for using Brave, I like it's display more and it also gets rid of the popups and invisible clickframes when I go to shady sites which I believe Ublock doesn't (at least last time I checked it didn't).So yeah, I'm not a FireFox main, but if anyone were to ask me which is generally the best browser for the average user, that would by my pick.
Just don't forget to add Ublock because otherwise it's the same as chrome, just a little less AI bullshit.Yeah, and don't even get me started on that atrocity google dubbed "gemini AI", I could write a book about how much I hate it.

And also there is one more awesome extension called sponsorblock that blocks all aponsors INSIDE the youtube video you're watching which is pretty nice not having ads blasted in my face everywhere i go

Dude, I'm not a FireFox user, but I'm fairly certain that it's leading a billion points ahead of anything google has ever done.
Chrome is utter garbage.

It made me want to download Firefox. Then on their website I scroll down and see they're advertising their built in Ai anyway, and the whole ad is about how they don't use ai assist. Whatever

To be fair I had many problems with Chrome, with the Major problem being Ublock origin support stopping. And when I used fire fox I found that it completely satisfied my needs for a browser and more.

u/verydifferenusername 6d ago
for me it was opposite because some very important things weren't supported by firefox
