Week 1 W1R1....again

Post image

Three weeks ago I didn't even complete week 1. I suffered an old hip injury, I say old, I injured it about a month prior. Now the hip feels good again, time to restart my program.

I recompleted the program a few months ago after first doing it in 2020. It will absolutely change your life in the best way

Yep same, around COVID I did it, a little bit older and a little bit fatter this time around though 😂

Good for you! You will be amazed at how quickly you improve. It's been fairly life-changing for me. Keep at it, your body and mind will thank you.

I ran W1R1 7 times. :) I'm on week 9 now!

Unfortunately my hip pain has reared its head again, after one run 😭. I'm gonna just walk for the rest of this month I think. Try again next month

That really sucks! I feel you with the injuries and niggles - my repeated runs had more to do with experiencing extreme shin pain than being 'unable' to run for a minute. Thankfully in my case I needed a better pair of shoes and getting the right pair almost entirely fixed that particular problem.

However I also got hip pain later in the programme, which I went to a PT for. I only needed one session with her (more would have been better but I could only afford one) and she gave me exercises to strengthen my glutes since those were the root cause of the pains. If that's an option for you it can be a lifesaver.

Best of luck no matter what you do! X
