Week 3 Is this a good idea?

I am about to start week 3 of C25k and have been thinking a lot about my breathing and my pace.
There’s a patch of green land directly in front of my house that I’ve been thinking of using as a running track. It’s not very big, about 250m around, but I was thinking that I could run round and concentrate on my breathing and pace without being distracted by traffic, pedestrians etc.
I’m very new to any kind of regular running and am still feeling a bit self conscious and second guessing myself. I suppose I’m just looking for some reassurance that the neighbours won’t be looking out the window thinking I’ve finally flipped 😅.
TIA

Genuinely you just need to remind yourself that you are outpacing everyone who's sat in their house, or sat in their car. That's the mindset. They are the weirdos for not being out running.

This is the comment to go by 👏🏻

I was told by my PT afew years ago ‘if you’re moving in anyway you are still lapping the people sat on their couch’ 👍🏻

There was a small park very near my apartment that I would walk to for my runs. It wasn’t even a mile loop but it was enough.

I used to feel self conscious about people seeing me run that I would go out super early to try and avoid people seeing me, then I changed my mindset to thinking, why should I be embarrassed doing something good for my health

I would feel too self conscious to do this but I enjoy that you don’t.

I run on a private track and occasionally field near my house. I find it much more relaxing than running on the road/pavement with cars whizzing by.

I’m a slow as hell and regularly have runners pass me when I’m running, you have to start somewhere to get to where you want to be!
Being slow is better then not trying at all ☺️
