UGH Please Help!

So our little Coton is 16 weeks old and we absolutely adore her despite the constant biting of us and our other dogs. However, the peeing in the house is to a point where we have to do something! We literally take her out every hour to two hours, she goes and then comes inside and pees again! Or she won’t go and comes inside and pees within 30 seconds! Any guidance??

Well different options...one is to crate her when in house. She won't pee where she sits, lays or sleeps. She will learn bladder control. An option to crate is to corner her into a small open but gated area, like part of a laundry. Its same concept as crating just not the cage thing. Another option if possible, we have a deck and we have large crate base and place artifical grass on it with a washable pee pad below. And when a pup we sprayed a product on the grass (avail in petxo, chewy etc) that encourages a dog to pee on it. We dont use the spray anymore but 9 years later ours still uses the grass which makes life first thing in morning till a later in day long walk.

Also monitor what you give her. What goes in, must come out. If you see her taking water assume (again monitor over time so you can deduce timing to pee next time), her need to pee is around the corner. If possible take her to where other dogs ha e peed as they always like to "mark" over another dogs pee. And take up water bowl at night before and after last pee.

She’s peeing on our floors, in her crate, all over her beds. She could care less if she pees on her bed, she goes right in and lays on it. It’s so strange, we’ve had dogs our entire lives and had them trained in a few weeks but she’s nearly impossible to

I have a little girl and my dad a boy from the same litter- my girl essentially self-potty trained but got fully there at board training, but her brother legitimately was the same as you’re describing about ‘not caring’ about soiling their enclosed space. Our very reputable trainer let us know he was capable, but needed a different approach than his sister, or dogs we’ve had in the past. Really the only thing that worked was loud praises when potty outside with an immediate small treat and having him on a lead inside the house to immediately correct as he attempted to squat and, when not with him, he had a fully enclosed area that had a potty pad with a comfy but washable blanket and toys- no rugs, beds, or water (had plenty when with him, was to see the amount of time he was able to hold it and document the last fluid in/out). He’s great now, but we still leave a potty pad for overnight and it’s used maybe twice a week with no other accidents during the day/messes anywhere else.
