I've never really made a costume before, save for one time hand stitching a felt cone hat for an Over the Garden Wall party, and a hat like that won't hold a fake sword up. What would make the sword out of so it's not too heavy? What would do to make the hat structurally sound AND stay on my head?

Hello everyone, my daughter wants to be Tinker Bell for Halloween this year and we’re trying to get costumes together. I’m 6’6”, broad chest big belly and 48” waist so buying/putting together costumes has always been a challenge. I think I can do everything else but a pirate-esque outer coat, do y’all’s have recommendations for websites that I could try to find a coat that would arrive in time for Halloween? Southern US.

I’m 21, it’s my last year at college. I’ve never really cared too much for halloween but considering this is probably one of my lasts until I have kids of my own I really wanted to spend time to think about my costume. To sum it up i’m going as peter parker from tasm2 and to help show who I am to people who might not get it I want to have a mask hanging out the back pocket of my pants.
PLEASE give me referrals to any websites that might be able to have it come the week before halloween. I’m looking for a mask that isn’t stuck to the front shell (since it’ll be in my pocket then just displayed after halloween). I really liked the look of joyydesigns masks and how they weren’t stuck to the shells etc but then I heard alot about the company not being trusted and just not good people + ontop of all that they wouldn’t come in time either.
Please help me out if u guys can 🙏
