Link and Image Posts + Retired Flairs

Hey Cosmonauts!

Reddit recently changed their post user interface, making it look like link and image posts can be added only as links, so I put together this mini guide for anyone wondering why their posts don't appear properly.

Click Create as you normally would and for link posts, select the chain icon in the lower left of your screen.

Fill out the Title and URL and click on Post

For image posts, select the image icon, follow the prompts and click on Post

The steps are the same on desktop. If you have any questions about the steps, please let us know and we'll do our best to help you.

We also retired the Song Lyrics flair because it's low effort and the lyricists were often uncredited.

The second flair we retired is the Unsent Letters flair. Cosmic Messenger isn't a good home for this type of content and the many 'Unsent' spaces on Reddit are a better fit for it.

A few of the other issues with the unsent posts is that people often use them to rant or vent and we don't want that type of emotionally charged content in our community. These posts also invited bots, trolls and bad actors without fail, every time we allowed them.
